Great! You’ve found your way over to us finally dipping our toes into increasing our online presence.  The experts all told us, and the data confirms, that our website was way too sterile. Our immediate reaction to that feedback was to assume our fighting stance and prepare for battle because we spent a lot of time researching color schemes, layouts, verbiage and content we thought our audience needed.  If it came to actual combat, we were ready because we knew Melina would lead us to victory.

After calming down, we realized the experts were trying to tell us that unique visitors to our website don’t often come back (likely because those unique visitors are online bots scouring for websites to exploit) but alas, we came across a problem that needs solving.  If engineers are good at anything, it’s being presented with a problem and figuring out how to solve it.  So here we are!  Our first blog post was written by a staff member who was assigned the task of writing an introduction in less than 500 words!

Let’s start with an introduction!  We’re a small team of highly specialized engineers and technicians with the common mission of being your partner in ensuring your medical and laboratory devices meet published safety requirements.  We don’t just push paper around (err, I mean, emails and spreadsheets), we have a fully functional lab. So, if you ever come to visit, you’ll see us in varying states of our investigations – whether it’s having productive conversations on how standard requirements apply to your specific device, getting blasted with a torrent of air from opening our humidity chamber with an internal setpoint of 23 Celsius and 93% Relative Humidity or simply having lunch to provide our brains with much needed calories for all the thinking we do.

We’ve been in business since 2002 and our team’s combined experience – over 130 years – goes back further than the Great Milwaukee Ice War when the steam-powered Julius Goll battled local ice harvesters.  Our experience with the many great customers we’ve had along the way has given us unique insights into the struggles device manufacturers encounter in this industry.  When market pressures do not leave much grace in strategic timelines our goal is to be as transparent as possible to boost confidence in successful project completion.  However, we realize that although we’re a small step in the regulatory machine, we’re a step with huge impact.

Looks like I just crossed over 400 words, so I better start wrapping this up!  You can expect us to publish two blogs a month, and we’ll be posting on various topics.  Keep in mind that we’re a bunch of left-brained thinkers so some posts will be data heavy and dry, but the hope is you’ll bookmark us and pay a visit once in a while 😉

And if you’re ever interested in visiting, we’re just down the street from the Milwaukee International Airport, so come on by and we’ll share a tray of fried cheese curds!
